This week we celebrate the 50th episode of WARP with a extra long episode and special guests! I take a look at the original classic mecha anime Mobile Suit Gundam. Eeeper from the always great Eeeper's Choice Podcast brings us a review of Gundam Wing Endless Waltz. Author and podcaster extraordinaire Tee Morris brings us a convention report from Anime USA, which took place November 17-19 in Tysons Corner, VA. Of course we also check out some voicemail and read some e-mail. But what would the 50th podcast be with a contest? Be sure to listen for your chance to win your very own copy of the Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie 2-Disc Special Edition DVD set! The deadline for entires is December 14th, so don't wait and enter today. Please note: Just to make it clear the contest is open to everyone in the world. What's the fun in making a contest US only like some other podcasts? :) Gundam links:

Not difficult my ass, I can pick three of the themes but two elude me nicely. :) Also it might be worth mentioning whether Funimation is prepared to ship this prize to people outside the US. Anime World Order held a similar competition and then had to decline several entries because Funimation wouldn\'t ship there.
Well I couldn\'t make it too easy. :)
I have the DVDs in hand, and I\'m willing to ship them anywhere in the world. The last contest winner was from Australia so it\'s all good. What\'s the fun in making the contest US only? Just be aware that these are the US release, so be sure you can play Region 1 NTSC DVDs.

Actually, it was only about one or two entries we had to discard. I think we only had about 13 entries.
A small piece of my soul died when I heard how people recommended Trinity Blood again and again and again to Tee Morris during Anime USA since that show is total garbage that fails to entertain, as is standard for Studio Gonzo. And AWO listeners know that I haven't got much heart/soul remaining as it is.
Watching just Endless Waltz without watching Gundam Wing is kind of like watching just the FMA movie without watching FMA first. Or maybe the Rurouni Kenshin OAVs without watching the series. Sure, it'd work, but you'd be kind of lost. Then again, you'd be lost watching Wing anyway since they tried to retell the events of the original series, Z, ZZ, CCA, etc within one series. And have them somehow all happen over the course of a year. Man, what a mess. At least Endless Waltz had lots of miniguns. The presence of miniguns/chainguns being fired redeems things almost as much as monofilament wire.

I still haven\'t seen Trinity Blood, but I\'m not too sure I want too. Hellsing kinda killed me on vampire anime anyway. Unless it\'s Vampire Hunter D which is always a good thing.
Who said I was calling out your podcast Daryl? :) We should start some huge fake anime podcast feud in the style of Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler. Then we can go to the Podcast Expo and wrestle each other, and you can surprise everyone by kicking my ass. Yeah, that\'s the ticket.
