Weekly Anime Review's Mascot/Logo Contest!

Hey we go, our very first contest. To make our website and future promotional materials look cool, we're in need of a mascot and a logo. Fortunately for you I can't draw, so I'm going to give out cool anime prizes to those who can. I'm in need of a header for the website and a image suitable for use on t-shirts, etc. Here are the rules:

  • The logo must include the name "Weekly Anime Review Podcast", and if you can work in the tag-line "Anime Reviews For Your Ears" that would be cool too.

  • No mascot submissions should resemble any other anime characters or encroach on any trademarks or copyrights. Must be an original design.

  • No pictures of iPods. Apple is going after podcasts that use images of their products on podcast websites.

  • All entries become the property of Anime Weekly Review.

  • Entries must be recieved by January 31, 2005. The deadline has been extended.

So now your probably asking yourself, what do I get out of this? You have a chance of winning the Weekly Anime Review Prize Pack! This box of goodies includes the first DVD volume of Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig, the Mirage Of Blaze DVD boxset that includes all four volumes of this great series, Pocky to feed your otaku snack needs, and any other assorted anime goodies I can find to toss in the box for you. Plus you get the honor of having your art displayed on our website, and emblazoned on any promotional materials I come up with. :) Send all entries via e-mail to: weeklyanimereview@gmail.com

Thanks and be sure to listen in again next week!

Episode 17 - Ohayocon 2006 Report

This past weekend my wife Diana and I made the journey to Columbus, Ohio to attend the first anime convention of the new year. That's right, Ohayocon 2006. This isn't a typical episode, and I'm sorry if the sound quality isn't up to my normal standards. We recorded most of this in the car on the way home from the con. Hope you enjoy it!

Don't forget to visit the webpage at www.weeklyanimereview.com and put yourself on the Frappr map. You can also leave feedback on the voicemail line at 206-339-WARP.
